Delirium

“Come on.” She had the pill between her teeth, then dancing on her tongue, then she threw back her head and it was gone. She reached down and pulled upwards and her shirt of the band we saw last week in the city was off and tossed aside.

“I don’t feel like it.”

“The sex or the drugs? I don’t care if you take the pill but I still want to bang.”

“Do you ever wonder—”

“No.”

“You didn’t even let me ask you.”

She was pulling off my pants, oblivious to the fact that I wasn’t helping. “I don’t wonder, I just live.”

“That doesn’t even make any sense.”

She stopped pulling at my knees. “Yes or no? I’ve got about ten minutes to get a cab and be back at the club before this shit really kicks in.” She wasn’t angry, she just needed a decision.

“Yeah, okay.”

  4. Excellent dialog. You managed to tell us so much about these two in such few words. Enough that I want to know what got them there, and where they are going next... After the club, of course.
